Scholarship Programs

The Gerber Foundation offers competitive scholarships for students graduating from select high schools in Newaygo, Muskegon, or Oceana Counties in West Michigan.

Additional eligibility requirements and limitations for all of the scholarships listed below:

  • Students must be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the US and planning to attend a college, university or post-secondary program within the US
  • Foreign exchange students are not eligible
  • Students planning to attend one of the four U.S. military or maritime academies are not eligible

The Daniel Gerber, Sr. Medallion Scholarship

The Daniel Gerber, Sr. Medallion Scholarship is available to students graduating from select high schools in Newaygo County, Michigan. High schools include Fremont, Grant, Hesperia, Newaygo and White Cloud. GPA must be 3.71 or higher. Home schooled students within these districts are eligible.

The Gerber Foundation Merit Scholarship

The Gerber Foundation Merit Scholarship is available to students graduating from select high schools within each county as indicated below. GPA must be between 2.00 – 3.70.

Newaygo – Fremont, Grant, Hesperia, Newaygo, White Cloud, or home-schooled students

Muskegon – Holton, Muskegon, Ravenna

Oceana – Hart, Pentwater, Shelby, Walkerville

The Gerber Foundation Career –Tech Scholarship

The Gerber Foundation Career –Tech Scholarship is available to students graduating from one of 15 programs at the Newaygo County Career-Technical Center (see flyer for programs)
